Ramnarayan Tarkaratna is the first original dramatist of Bengali theatre. He was a professor in Sanskrit College. He wrote the first original play on social issues 'Kulin Kulsarboswa' (1954). The first Bengali drama in the history of Bengali theatre. He wrote 13 plays. This year marks the bicentenary of his birth. This book discusses his plays as well as highlights his contribution to Bengali theatre.
